Hard to say. CPO may be at the highest point but production is still low for many plantations. Unlike steel, palm oil needs manpower to collect the fruits, with Covid, they cant get workers. Its like the case of a lot gold underground but how to make profit if there is no one to dig it out?
answer is yes, plantation company earn $ not depend the quantity. its depend the cpo price, as long as cpo more than 2.2k, company consider earning, more than 3k consider huge profit, tats y gov chr windfall profits tax. especially this year is the most highest cpo price in palm oil history.
Just sharing... CPO is high because Soybean usage is shifted to be use as bio-fuel ... therefore there are assess demand due void left by Soybean usage for food.
